There are many pros when it comes to paying a friend but it could sometimes be cheaper to use a moving company. Well let’s take a look at all the pros and cons of going with a moving company or with choosing your friends.

Friends:

Now going with your friends and doing this activity might seem like a great idea. I mean payment seems to be pretty easy at times and who knows it might be fun.

Payment- Since they are your friends payment for getting help move should be lenient, should be. Most of the times this activity could be paid with some pizza and beer or any other type of take-out food however if you have the type of friends that do not like being paid with food then a small fee of between $20-$50 sounds reasonable.

Time- If you choose to go with your friends it is recommended to start as soon as possible packing up since there is little to no professionalism it tends to take up longer than a moving company. Now this is from one city to another usually within the city happens to be around $500 or so depending on how much you have.

Time- Moving companies tend to take around 2 to 4 days to move everything from your old place to your new one and in some cases can even do that faster. Since these people are professionals the focus on working instead of fooling around like friends usually do.

It really all comes down to personal preference and how much time you have. If you have at least a month to start moving then it would be best to call some friends to start packing since this is usually the cheaper option. However if you have quite a few things to move and little time then a moving company is highly recommended since they specialize in this and would deliver everything in short time.
